I just want to say thank you to everyone and your sweet comments on the blog and social media! We are so excited to be adding another blessing to our family! I have a great doctor taking care of me and the babe making sure that everything is going smoothly. I’ve got to say, as sick as I’ve been, this pregnancy is much easier than my pregnancy with Liam. Out of my four pregnancies, I was most sick with Liam. Now that I’m in my second trimester, I am really hoping that I can get back to working full time and blogging more.
I’ve learned a lot while on my blog hiatus. I had time to reflect on why I blog, if I want to continue blogging, and of all the little memories I’ve missed out on while I’ve had my face busy on the computer. I definitely want to continue to document life. But I want to focus more on the current everyday happenings. I want to work on my camera skills and use that to capture memories and moments in life. I think it’s so easy to get caught up in the growth that comes with networking and blogging, but eventually you get smacked down into place and realize that isn’t where God wants you to go. It’s happen to me many times. You know what I’m saying’? I can positively say that I spend more energy working on my business than I do my blog, because that’s my passion, or at least one of many.
Back in January I posted about meeting some goals. God has blessed me so much this year already. We are adding an addition to our family (hello, moment of the year!), I was able to attend Alt and have Stitch Fix collaborate with me, I have a steady income from HBC, I was asked to join the Blissdom team as a Community Leader, and most recently I will be speaking on a panel at Influence Conference. These are just a few exciting things in store for this year.
I just want to make the most of Him, through my life, blog, and business, and I’m so excited for everything in 2013. So while I say, I want to focus more on my family… guess what you’re all included in that. The one thing that has always amazed me about blogging, are the real friendships that are built. I can say that most of my closet friends that I text on a daily business I have met from blogging. I know the phrase ‘comment on my blog’ is kinda tiring– but all or these friendships started with a comment of a tweet. How crazy is that? I just love it, and I love how we all pray and connect with each other! I love how you might have absolutely nothing in common with me, but click on my sidebar and find your new blog bff. No matter how much distance is between us, or what blog niche you are in…. we all intertwine in someway.
Hopefully this will be the first of many regular posts! xo

Congratulations on your pregnancy! I’m thrilled for you!
I’m also so excited to hear you’ll be on the expert panel at Influence! I’m jealous you’re going to Blissdom. I wanted to go terribly but wasn’t able to swing it this year. Hopefully next year! In the meantime I’ll live vicariously through your experience. :]
I’m looking forward to reading your posts again, Nicole!
congratulations on your new baby! your words really resonate with me about working on capturing life on the blog rather than working on commenting and building it up. I have to continually remind myself of my purposes for blogging, and what God wants me to accomplish with my blog. I also hope to find real friendships like you have!

So glad things are going so well for you and your family! I know that I was more inspired to blog when I switched to a more lifestyle focus and just did style posts as a backdrop. I find that I really like to know the blogger behind the outfits, you know? Looking forward to reading more!
